Group Yoga sessions run weekly with a changing timetable normally every six weeks.
You will find class information such as, where the classes are held, days/times, duration, what to expect, what to bring and class costs. The classes are kept small in numbers for safety and personal attention. They are welcoming and for all levels and fitness capabilities.
This is great class for stretching, relaxing, and allowing your parasympathetic nervous system to come alive. Beginners work slowly with me initially building your confidence, building on your technique and form through the postures. After just a few classes you will start to learn the sequence and feel confident to move through the warmup sequences on your own under my guidance. There are lots of options for all levels and classes are non-competitive, friendly, and welcoming. Currently these sessions are delivered at Dalkeith Community Campus. We use a large, bright, and airy room upstairs with lots of space for each client.
Each session is approximately 60 minutes long. You would bring your own mat, water, and any clothing layers you require. You may also want to bring a blanket for the end of the session when we enter the relaxation part of the session. The Yoga sessions are booked in six session blocks. The reason for this is so you can fully immerse yourself in class as we progress from week to week. You will experience a huge shift in mental alertness, sleep patterns and physical wellbeing. Your block is paid in advance with the flexibility to attend a mixture of yoga classes from the timetable over that 6-week period. This is particularly useful if you work shifts, care for someone or have a young family. Meeting class members is a very rewarding experience for me knowing that people leave the class feeling better about themselves, relaxed both physically and mentally and worked on their flexibility and mobility. I love the versatility of yoga and meditation and never cease to be amazed by the lessons I continue to learn through my practice on and off the mat.
